About the DQ Score

The DQ Test has been designed to capture an overview of your knowledge and skills across all 8 Citizenship Competencies: Screen Time Management, Privacy Management, Cyberbullying Management, Digital Citizen Identity, Digital Footprint Management, Cyber Security Management, Critical Thinking, and Digital Empathy. Your DQ Citizenship Score measures your performance in the Test, and is meant to be used as a starting point for further conversations on your digital skills and habits.

Nonetheless, it is recommended that you continue developing your digital habits and skills to improve to excellence.
Below average in safe and responsible use of digital devices and media; and still developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that encapsulate that specific DQ competency. It is recommended that you support your learning of digital skills and practise safe digital habits to develop your DQ.
Not using digital devices and media in a safe and responsible manner; showing a limited understanding of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that encapsulate that specific DQ competency; and may be exhibiting one or more cyber-risk behaviours. We recommend talking to trusted peers and adults about your digital habits and supplement your learning of digital skills and safe online practices to strengthen your DQ.

DQ Score Cards

At the end of the test, a detailed Score Card will be generated for students and schools. This Score Card:

  • Defines each competency and lists the knowledge and skills tested for
  • Gives actionable recommendations for parents, caregivers, and teachers to take to support and develop your child/students’ DQ
  • Identifies your students’ exposure to cyber-risk (School Score Cards only)
  • Compares school scores against national and global averages (School Score Cards only)
